A regular wash may help, but it does not completely remove the stain or dirt that may have been trapped in the fabric.<\/p>

When motor oil comes into contact with clothing, whether it is work clothes or going out, removing it is a task that can be complicated, especially if the correct procedure is not followed. Work uniforms are often completely ruined because of this situation. <\/p>

To help you with this problem, we decided to explain the steps to follow to perform a wash that will allow you to remove the grease from your mechanic’s clothes and clean them. In addition to giving you some tips and tricks so you can have the desired results. <\/p>

Removing grease from mechanic’s clothing and cleaning: Things to consider<\/p>

Before you know the procedure to effectively remove grease from mechanic’s clothes; you must first try the simplest methods. Grease and mechanical oil stains can vary in intensity, they are not all the same. There is the grease produced by shafts, lubricant, engine, etc. <\/p>

Each of them interacts differently with clothing, which is why some will be quicker to remove than others. The simplest and most effective method tends to be ordinary washing with a detergent specially designed for the job. There are now products for removing grease from mechanics’ clothes that are quite effective, although not completely foolproof. <\/p>

The formulas of these detergents allow the removal of dirt and stains on clothes; they can generally be applied in the washing machine’s drawer or directly on the fly. Removing grease from mechanic’s clothing and cleaning: Steps to follow<\/strong><\/p>

If you have the opportunity, wash clothes as they become soiled. Grease stains are easier to remove when they are fresh; the problems begin when they dry and are absorbed by the textile material. <\/p>

However, as we explained, removing grease from mechanic’s clothes is sometimes not so easy. If this is your case, and the specialized detergent did not work on the first try, try the following method: <\/p>

Step 1<\/strong><\/p>

Choose a detergent, specialized or not, that is suitable for both the type of fabric of your clothes and the color; in this way you will prevent the chemicals in the product from damaging the garment. Remember that the dosage you should use is for heavily soiled clothes. <\/p>

Step 2<\/strong><\/p>

Once you have the ideal detergent, try to remove the oil from the clothes on your own; that is, remove the grease as much as possible. This is so that when you remove the grease from the mechanic’s clothes, the product can have a greater effect. We recommend “scraping” the stain with a plastic spoon or even a dull knife; you should also avoid rubbing the grease off the garment. <\/p>

Step 3<\/strong><\/p>

All detergents and garments have a maximum water temperature limit. You must heat the water up to this limit without exceeding it, as you may damage the clothes. <\/p>

Step 4<\/strong><\/p>

Once these steps are done, all you have to do is wash the clothes in the usual way. At the end of the procedure, check that the stain has been removed; if not, then repeat the second step and soak the clothes in warm water with the detergent for a few hours. Then you should wash it normally. <\/p>

Step 5<\/strong><\/p>

Once the garment is dry, spray with a hydroalcoholic textile cleaner and let it act for a few seconds.<\/p>

This is a washing treatment that is generally able to effectively clean and remove grease from mechanical clothing; however, if the stain has been on the garment for a long time, it may reduce its intensity but not completely remove it. Removing grease from mechanic’s clothing: Home methods<\/strong><\/p>

On many occasions, removing grease from mechanic’s clothes with home remedies is usually the right choice; that is why we have decided to provide you with some of the methods that have worked best for users.<\/p>

Corn Starch<\/strong><\/p>

Cornstarch, also known as cornstarch, is one of the most popular home remedies because it can remove fresh stains. All you have to do is place the product on the stain for an hour and remove it by brushing the cornstarch off with a brush and a damp cloth. <\/p>

Liquid dish soap<\/strong><\/p>

Another well-known home remedy is liquid dish soap. Removing grease from mechanic’s clothes with this product usually has the desired results. <\/p>

Apply the soap on the dirt you want to remove and let it stand for 10 to 15 minutes. After this time, wash the garment with hot water, making sure that the temperature is suitable for the clothes. <\/p>

Another way to use liquid soap is to mix it with water and let the garment sit in the mixture for a few hours. Then wash as usual. <\/p>

Aloe Vera<\/strong><\/p>

Many claim that Aloe Vera is perfect for removing grease from mechanical clothing. All you have to do is spread the aloe on the stain and cold water, let it act for a few minutes and remove it. <\/p>

Coca-Cola<\/strong><\/p>

Although this home remedy may seem strange to you, many claim its authenticity. It is well known that Coca-Cola tends to have peculiar behaviors when it comes in contact with certain objects. In the case of clothing, it is able to remove grease; however, we do not recommend it if the garment is white. <\/p>

There are two ways to use it. The first is to let the clothes sit with 2 to 4 liters of Coca-Cola for 10 to 12 hours. The second method is to mix the drink with the usual detergent and water, and then perform the usual washing cycle. <\/p>

It should be noted that all of these methods for removing grease from clothing only remove the stain, not clean.<\/p>

If you want to achieve a complete cleanliness, you should spray your garments and shoes daily when you return home with a suitable hydroalcoholic textile cleaner. This can be either alcohol based or highly tested quaternary ammonium based. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
