This is not necessary unless your bike contains an excessive amount of mud or dirt accumulated since your last ride. From ECOSOLUCIONES QU\u00cdMICAS we advise you to follow these steps:  <\/p><p>Generally, you should clean your bike down, once a week or once a month, depending on how often you use it and always using quality products. For this task, high purity 99.9% isopropyl alcohol is ideal for dissolving and cleaning the sticky mass of grease and oil that accumulates in certain parts of your bike and diluted with deionized water for areas without traces of grease or oil. <\/p><p>To clean your bicycle you should follow the following steps:<\/p><p><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/p><p>Moisten a quarter of a cloth with 99.9% high purity isopropyl alcohol.<\/p><p><strong>Step 2<\/strong><\/p><p>Clean the brake pads of the bicycle with a cloth dampened in 99.9% high purity isopropyl alcohol, removing all dirt and debris that may have accumulated.<\/p><p><strong>Step 3<\/strong><\/p><p>Use a clean rag and more 99.9% high purity isopropyl alcohol to clean the rotors. Wipe the outside surface of your bike, and then, using a finger covered with a damp section of the rag, insert it between the spokes and wipe the dirt from around the inside of the rotors. Remember that since it is such a high purity alcohol, you can dilute it with deionized water.  <\/p><p><strong>Step 4<\/strong><\/p><p>Dip a toothbrush in Isorpropyl Alcohol 99.9% high purity and use it to scrub your bike chain when it becomes encrusted with oil and dirt. Lubricate the chain again with bike oil. <\/p><p><strong>Step 5<\/strong><\/p><p>For bikes with disc brakes, remove the disc brake pads from your bike and soak them for a few seconds in undiluted 99.9% high purity isopropyl alcohol. Let them dry for 5 minutes and then scrape them gently with sandpaper before reattaching. <\/p><p><strong>Step 6<\/strong><\/p><p>Clean the rims of your bicycle using 99.9% high purity isopropyl alcohol (diluted with deionized water if desired) and another clean cloth.<\/p><p>Through the website of ECOSOLUCIONES QU\u00cdMICAS, you can purchase all the necessary products to make your bike as good as new in a simple and very economical way.
